An old side table that was my grandmother's...
Followed by a glass top from another table.....
Covered with a tablecloth from Salvation Army.
I decided to use my grandmother's set of dishes, Friendly Village by Johnson Brothers.
The reindeer I found after Christmas on sale at Pier One for $7.00.
A flowering Vinca adds some color.
I will be joining Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch. Thanks for stopping by.
You really did a great job putting everything together! I love your dishes. Have a nice weekend, Mary
ReplyDeleteWhat a festive July tablecape. Christmas will be here before you know it. Your side table from your grandmother is beautiful. Glass tops work wonders. I love decorating with reindeer for Christmas, and yours is gorgeous.

What a pretty table! That cloth is just lovely. I love your dinnerware and that reindeer. That glass tabletop worked just perfectly on that pretty table. Merry Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely table and what a clever way to make a table! I love those dishes! Thanks for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely table you created. I really like the red chargers with Friendly Village, they bring out the red in the dishes. Nice choice for Christmas. The reindeer is gorgeous and such a great find! I also love the vinca and the beautiful tablecloth. To be honest...I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas and would be happy with my holiday things out from October to January! That is a lovely scene at your table and clever, too. I am also on Plan B of my life as my husband died last September. It sure is a challenge, isn't it? Hope you'll stop by a visit! ♥♫
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever way to construct your table!! I love the dishes. The real Christmas will be here before we know it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely post!

What a beautiful table, Lisa. I love the transferware plates. Where is the snow that is needed to cool us off?
ReplyDeleteChristmas in July is a sweet theme and your tablescape is delightful
ReplyDeleteLovely tablescape and the transferware is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThis china always reminds me of wonderful old Christmas movies like Holiday Inn! I love it and I can't wait until Christmas! Linda
ReplyDeleteI found this post after seeing your beautiful blog header (from Marty's Table Top Tuesday). I love how you've used your Friendly Village china here -- so beautiful! My soon-to-be daughter-in-law inherited a large set from her grandmother, and I always enjoy sending her links to tables that show it off. Lovely!
