Vintage Cameras

This was my inspiration from the Pottery Barn January 2011 issue. The vintage cameras on the top of the armoire.  I started my camera collection about 6 years ago. I have so many collections that I am out of space to display them. I liked the different elevations so I set out to see what I could find.

The shelf turned on its side I already had....in the give away pile in the basement! Glad I didn't give it away! The other two pieces I found at the PTO thrift store. Each was .50 cents. I stained the short square one. and the other is facing backwards and upside down because it has a heart on it.....NOT my style!

Here I am experimenting with no flash again....lots of glare....argh. The camera on the square is my Minolta 35mm. I guess it is vintage now since everyone has gone to digital. The Kodak folding one is my favorite.

The camera on the top on its side is an Argus. I bought it on ebay a few years ago. I bought it because I like the style and the black and chrome. I later found out Argus was made in the 1950's in the city where I live. Go figure!

A view of all my cameras. You can also see some of my Hummel collection. That's a post for another day!

I will be joining Marty at  Tabletop Tuesday. Click on the link to go to her site, A Stroll Thru Life. Thanks for stopping by!
