I found this table at the curb a few months ago. I know who it belonged to I used to watch his son before school. Anyway, it is a very well made piece but, with two boys at its former home it was pretty beat up. I brought it home and it sat in the hall way for several months. Since I had a extra day off work this week I decided it was time to get started! Here is what it looked like before......

I reused the same hardware. I like the aged look.
I tried to get a close up of the distressing/sanding. This piece has a lot of interesting details.
The table in its new location beside the bed. The lamp I bought last year when I redecorated the bedroom. The obelisk I found at Salvation Army and the vintage fan was a Esty purchase also last summer. I will be joining Beyond the Picket Fence for
Under $100 linky party. Thanks for stopping by.
Your tranformation is amazing! It looks so "rich". What a wonderful bedside table. I am going to have to spend more time looking for castoffs. You did a lovely job and really brought out the design of the piece.
ReplyDeleteI love the table! You did an excellent job. I love to know I'm not the only one getting things from the curb! Thanks for sharing.
