Mosaic Monday Memorial Day

I decided to wait until the Fourth of July to set my table with a red, white and blue theme. I got out my flags, I have dozens! and set up pictures of those I remember....all the time.

The flag in the middle of all the flags I bought at a flea market on the 4th several years ago. I had a small one with me from the parade but I lost it :(  so naturally I had to replace it! This one I like because it has 48 stars. The picture on the top is our wedding picture flanked by both sets of grandparents. My one grandmother (in the green jacket) is living. She just celebrated her 92nd birthday and still going strong! She has a eye disease so that has slowed her down some.

I hope everyone has a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend. I will be joining Mosaic Monday at the Little Red House. Thanks for looking at my blog.

  1. Hi Lisa!. Nice to meet you and what a great mosaic in the red white and blue. I recall when at the age of 50 my sister was widowed. Here it is some years later and she is doing awesome. I know you will too... it's all about being true to yourself and doing exactly what gives you pleasure in life.

Good luck with the blogging... it's fun!

  3. Hi Lisa,

It's always good to remember the sacrifices being made on our behalf by our armed forces and their families.

  4. Hello Lisa...I've just been browsing your blog and enjoying your family antiques, table scapes and and Mosaics. Your blog is warm and inviting...I enjoyed the visit.

Todays Mosaic is quite special and well done with the framing and subject of flags.

I read your welcome message and I'm very sorry for the loss of your husband and admire you for your strength and positive attitude in finding your way.
