A Yellow Tablescape Without A Table....

Since I sold my sideboard and table last month and have yet to find anything I like I decided to set this tablescape on my island (actually it is more of a peninsula than a island)! So I guess it is a "Peninsula Scape"?!

I found the yellow place mats (is it placemat or place mat?... my spell check says place mat) and napkins at the PTO thrift store for .50 cents each. The green vase was a find at only $1.50. I love the vintage napkins. Dishes are also from thrift stores except for the patterned salad plates. I found those at Home Goods for $2.99 each. I used them in my March tablescape. Then they looked more blue now they look yellow. I guess they pick up the colors from the other plates.

Can you believe these candlesticks? You will never guess (OK, maybe you will!) where I found them.

At the dumpster after our co-op wide yard sale! I couldn't believe it when I saw them!! The guy across the street took everything that did not sell to the dumpster. Oh, boy did I have fun! I am not sure if they are Waterford. I don't see any etching on the bottom but, some older pieces do not have any markings. They look exactly like my wine glasses and salt and pepper shakers Lismore pattern. I picked that pattern one, because it is the most popular and has the most pieces and two, because it almost has my name in it! And, yes, that candle is crooked...the problem with tapered candle holders....arrrr!!

More faux flowers...but, they look so real!!
A sweet little covered sauce boat I found at the Reuse Center. It does not have a ladle so I am on the look out for one.
Another view of the Waterford pieces. The salt and pepper shakers I won at a silent auction for $10.00. I could not believe I won.

A sweet little bowl of lemons...they too are faux. The withered one looks especially real.
A final look at the setting. I will be joining Marty at a Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday. Be sure to take a look at the other posts. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Lisa, they definitely look like Waterford. IF you will take a magnifying glass you may a faint white waterford (word) stamped in the bottom, it is not always visible to the naked eye. Girl, you did good in that dumpster, wish I'd been there with you ... it would have been a 'move over' moment. Chuckle!

Your island scape is lovely & very inviting.

    Have a lovely week.
