Thanksgiving Tablescape 2010

I have my table set up in the living room because we need to be able to see the TV! I am not sure if it will stay this way or not. Inspiration has not hit me yet so, I copied what I did in July for Christmas in July.

I don't know. What do you think? I wanted to try something different but, inspiration has not struck yet! There will only be three of us for dinner. Me, my mother and her friend, a gentleman friend! Who likes football!

I found inspiration for the centerpiece on Yvonne's blog at Stone Gable. I like hers better. I added reindeer moss to mine but, in the picture it looks like broccoli!  I found the bag of botanicals at the Dollar Tree and the antlers are ornaments I found at Walmart. I wanted it to look like you just came back from a walk in the woods and this is what you found.
The dishes are pretty. I like to stack them for depth and interest.
A close up of the dessert plates winter theme. I will be joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. You've set such a luxurious tablescape for your Thanksgiving feast. I think that you are very generous to gift your mom's friend with access to the television during your dinner. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Happy Thanksgiving! Cherry Kay

  2. What wonderful dinnerware. The plates are wonderful and your table is so gorgeous. You are right to set the table by the television. I remember one Thanksgiving at my mothers. The women gathered in the dining room around the table while the guys crowded in the den with plates on their laps. If you can't beat them - join them! Happy Thanksgiving.
