Valentine's Day Tablescape

Valentine's Day already? I feel like I just finished packing away the Christmas decorations!

The white table was in my work room. I used it in the dining room for my staff Christmas party. We had so much food I knew one small table would not be big enough! I decided to leave it in the dining room for awhile. Mostly because it is oak and is incredibly heavy and my work room is upstairs!

My inspiration for this table came from Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Who, incidentally, has a white table in her screened porch.
Some of the red dishes I used at Christmas. The red flatware was a gift. The red swirl napkins make another appearance! I bought eight at the PTO thrift store and I use them quite often. They are a strange size but, I still like them. The wine glasses were my grandma's. They were a wedding or shower gift almost 72 years ago! Grandma refers to them as "water goblets".

The red heart is a beaded coaster I found at Target a couple of years ago.
The white chargers are all a little different. I found all of them at different thrift stores. The red and white swirl heart plate is also from Target's dollar spot. They were 2.50 each. I think I bought them the same time I bought the coasters.
The red floral border plates I found at Salvation Army the day before Christmas. I used them on my Christmas table. The set includes eight plates and four tea cups for $7.99. A pretty good deal.
The smaller floral border plate I found at PTO thrift store for .50 each but, they only had two.
I found these cookies at Walmart. Who knows how they taste! I don't plan to eat them, just for decoration. Susan has some in her tablescape as well. I think she said she found hers at Home Goods. I found the red wine glass at PTO. They only had one....of course. I will keep looking for more. I thought it might be interesting to have different styles.
The floral arrangement is faux. It is a bridal bouquet. I bought it at Joann's several years ago on clearance for .99. The tag said "toss bouquet". I guess this one the bride tosses and then she keeps her bouquet she carried down the aisle. I used this bouquet when Alan and I where married two years ago. I was looking through floral books at the florist. Everything I liked was incredibly expensive and suddenly I remembered I had this one.  It is a nice remembrance to have. The tray I think I found at Salvation Army awhile ago. The red vase is from the dollar tree. Last year after Valentine's I found a Valentine Scrabble game/card. I had forgotten I had it. I have been looking in thrift stores for one. Here I spelled "love" and on the coffee table I have " Happy Valentines Day".  No apostrophe in Scrabble! The rose coaster I found at the PTO for .50.

I will be joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Click on the button on my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by and

Happy Valentine's Day!
