Christmas Hutch for Tabletop Tuesday

I decided to replace the white dishes in my hutch. I have collected the Spode Christmas Tree pattern for more than 25 years (I was in High School when I started! Really, I was!) Every year for Christmas my husband would ask which pieces I wanted! Now I think I have enough!

I need to remember to move Sparky's bed when I take pictures!
The knives in the pitcher are part of the set that was my mother's. They look very elegant!
The plate in the center was shipped to me by mistake from a ebay seller. It was supposed to be a year plate but, he sent this one instead. I let the seller know but, nothing was done. So I got a free plate!
The dinner plate was one of my mother-in-law's. If I dated the back stamp right it is from 1938, the year the pattern was introduced. On the back it says "Wishing you a Merry Christmas". I have six of these plates but, they are not used. I display them in a plate rack or in the hutch.  I will be joining Marty at a Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love my Spode Christmas Tree, too! Every holiday season, I take them out of the Welsh Dresser and place them in my cabinet in place of the Burleigh Blue Willow. We use them every day during the season. I clear my baker's rack and display all of the serving pieces. It's one of the highlights of Christmas for us. Thank you for sharing your lovely china cabinet display. Happy Thanksgiving! Cherry Kay

  9. I love the Spode, I debated for several years between the Spode Christmas and the Lenox Christmas dishes. Both are beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful collection and Happy Thanksgiving.
